Travel Clinic (COVID 19 Update)
Please be aware due to travel restrictions in UK because of COVID-19 we are not currently providing our Travel Clinic Appointments, we are sorry for any inconvience this may have caused.
Do you need vaccinations?
Our Nurses can provide comprehensive travel health advice and arrange for appropriate immunisations. Please arrange an appointment for a travel consultation at least 6-8 weeks before departure if possible. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks.
Select the region you are travelling to find out more.
We offer a full travel advice and immunisation service. If you are travelling abroad please complete and submit the travel form in plenty of time (we recommend 6-8 weeks) before your journey.
Please be aware that we cannot prescribe medication for altitude sickness. These medications must be prescribed by a specialist.
Please note that as of 1st August 2018 we no longer accept Cheques or American Express cards as payment methods.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
If you are a Portsdown Group Practice patient, many vaccinations are available on the NHS, you will be notified of any charges before your appointment.
If you are not a Portsdown Group Practice patient then please see the table below for our current travel vaccination fees before filling in our travel questionnaire
Please note that since 1st August 2018 we no longer accept Cheques or American Express cards as payment methods.
