Travel Vaccinationsglobal air travel

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to submit a travel questionnaire (please see link below) so the nurse can assess your vaccination requirements and contact you.  Please provide as much information about where you are travelling and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required as they can differ.

Travel Fees

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

If you are a Portsdown Group Practice patient, many vaccinations are available on the NHS, you will be notified of any charges before your appointment.

If you are not a Portsdown Group Practice patient then please click the following link to see our current travel vaccination fees before filling in our travel questionnaire: Travel Fees

Please note that as of 1st August 2018 we no longer accept Cheques or American Express cards as payment methods.

Travel Health Questionnaire

To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form.  This will be automatically sent to the travel nurse, who will contact you to discuss your requirements, and arrange appointments if necessary.

Further Information

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below:

Europe Europe & Russia North America North America
Central America Central America South America South America
Caribbean Caribbean Africa Africa
Middle East Middle East Central Asia Central Asia
East Asia East Asia Australasia Australasia and Pacific

It is important to submit your questionnaire as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as some vaccinations have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. You may need to have a series of vaccinations over time, and your final vaccination needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Travelling in Europe

If you are travelling to Europe the EU has published useful information for travellers on the European website.
